Kench Hill: Your perfect group getaway
Looking for a unique and inspiring venue for your next gathering? Whether it's a family reunion, a community event, a youth retreat, a wedding reception or a performance group getaway, Kench Hill offers the perfect setting. Nestled in the peaceful Kent countryside, our beautiful buildings and gardens provide a tranquil escape.
We offer a range of versatile spaces to suit your needs. The purpose-built Straw Hall is ideal for events with seating for up to 80 guests. It's perfect for banquets, dances, yoga, and choir practice. We also have cosy lounges and outdoor dining areas. Please note that we are in a quiet rural location where sound travels easily. To avoid disturbing our neighbours, we ask that there be no noise outdoors after 11pm.
At Kench Hill, you'll find comfortable accommodation with various options, including spacious bunk rooms, double bedrooms, and even a bell tent in the summer months! We can accommodate up to 55 guests, with a ground-floor bedroom available for those with limited mobility.

We offer flexible catering options to suit your budget
and cater to all dietary needs (with prior notice) in our 5-star
hygiene kitchen. You can also choose to self-cater; we have a
fully-equipped kitchen with electric and gas ovens, a fridge,
freezer, commercial dishwasher, and a gas BBQ for outdoor
dining. We can even supply organically-grown seasonal
produce from our kitchen garden.
Supermarkets are in nearby Tenterden and you'll find
various dining options in the area, including fish & chips,
Chinese, Indian, Turkish, and traditional pub fare. For
fresh, local produce, visit the nearby Nightingales Farm
Shop, which specialises in fruit, juice, and cider.
Engage in optional activities by our expert tutors, or relax
and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our minibus and
driver may be available for hire during your stay
– please enquire for availability.
Kench Hill is committed to environmental responsibility.
We encourage recycling and composting and provide food waste bins for your use. Our tap water is excellent, so there's no need to bring bottled water.
